Cindy Thompson works within the healthcare industry and enjoys the perks of a rural lifestyle in Central Virginia. Having lived in the middle east and travelled most of her younger years, Cindy enjoys staying at home, nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains with her Marine Corps Veteran and a pack of canines. Cindy’s pride in her family’s lineage of service to country drives her passion and dedication as part of the team at Coming Home Well. Cindy thrives on creating the platform of conversation to empower others with knowledge through research, education and advocacy to better understand and help our warriors to come home well from war.
Suzi Landolphi
Secretary
Suzi is the Clinical Director of Merging Vets and Players (MVP), a national peer to peer support and empowerment organization for combat veterans and retired professional athletes. Located in six major cities and regions, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Chicago, Atlanta, New York, and Seattle. Suzi also serves as the Clinical Director for Unbreakable, as well as, she is the Program Manager for Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue, providing wild horse gentling retreats as a mental health therapeutic modality for veterans. Prior to MVP, Suzi worked as a Senior PATHH Guide at Boulder Crest Retreat (BCR) in Bluemont, Virginia, a privately funded retreat for combat veterans, their families and first responders. Suzi is one of the co-creators of BCR’s, signature program called PATHH, which stands for Progressive and Alternative Training for Healing Heroes. PATHH is the nation’s first curriculum-based retreat, based on the science of Posttraumatic Growth. PATHH is now offered, at other VSO’s, around the country.
Roman Bridge
Treasurer
Roman Bridge is an accomplished professional who serves as the Treasurer of Coming Home Well, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and resources to veterans returning from service. With a passion for both philanthropy and construction, Roman brings a unique blend of expertise to his role.
Professionally, Roman is the owner and operator of a successful construction consulting business, where he utilizes his extensive knowledge and experience in the industry to provide strategic guidance to clients. Additionally, he holds the position of Head of Business Development for an emerging site work company, where he actively seeks out new opportunities for growth and expansion.
Roman’s dedication to his community and desire to make a positive impact led him to join Coming Home Well. As Treasurer, he meticulously manages the organization’s finances, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial matters. His financial acumen and attention to detail play a vital role in maintaining the financial stability of the organization, allowing Coming Home Well to focus on its mission of assisting veterans in their transition back to civilian life.
Tyler Pieron
Board Member
Dr. Tyler Pieron is an Army veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan (and a few other conflicts). He served in the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command as a Special Agent until he was medically retired. Tyler hosts Coming Home Well’s radio and podcast shows and focuses on TBI research and helping veterans wade through the bureaucracy to obtain benefits, especially education.
Tyler used his GI Bill benefits to earn a Master of Science degree in Cyber Security Policy and then a PhD. in Information Assurance after receiving a sabbatical and scholarship from the Pat Roberts Intelligence Scholars Program. Tyler lives with his wife Claire, their 3 children (2 boys and a girl), 3 dogs (Beagle, Boxer and Great Dane), 2 lizards (Bearded Dragon and Leopard Gecko), and many fish, near Charlottesville, VA, where he works with the Department of Defense on cyber intelligence issues.
Shonn Richardson
Board Member
Shonn currently resides in Fayetteville North Carolina with her two Great Danes Chloe and Layla. Shonn has one son Andre who has made her a proud grandmother of nine month old Andre Jr who resides in Tucson Arizona. She is a retired combat Army Veteran who spent twenty-eight years in various locations stateside and overseas. Her many years of experience were dealing in a fast paced Logistical environment. Shonn’s last few years were served as the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and Victim Advocate for the command, which proved to be very rewarding in providing guidance and support to soldiers during difficult times. Shonn currently volunteers with Wounded Warriors Project and is a member of Merge Vets and Players Organization (MVP). Her hobbies are reading and discount Tuesday movies.
Christopher MacLellan is affectionately known as the Bow Tie Guy in the vast network of family caregivers and is the founder and CEO of the Whole Care Network. Chris and his now-deceased partner were featured in a 2015 Pulitzer Prize-nominated story entitled “In Sickness and in Health: A Couple’s Final Journey,” which propelled him to write his book “What’s The Deal with Caregiving” and found the Whole Care Network which is a multimedia resource for family caregivers. The motto at the Whole Care Network is “helping you tell your story, one podcast at a time” because it is through story sharing where diversity meets the road to collaborate on a common cause, and our common cause is to support caregivers, before, during and after caregiving ends.
Donna Hoffmeyer is a retired United States Air Force Veteran who owns and operates R.E.B.el LLC made up of two businesses, The Transitioning Warrior and Publishing Pathfinders. She is a nurse, author, blogger, podcaster, and veteran advocate, and mentor/consultant. She has a passion for connecting veterans with resources to optimize their transition and help them pursue the next adventure in civilian life. As a self-published author, she is dedicated to teaching first-time authors the process of self-publishing.
She is the co-chair of the Veteran Committee with the Bulverde Spring Branch Chamber of Commerce. She has recently launched Transitioning Warrior Veteran Breakfasts, aimed at bringing Veterans, non-profits, and business communities together to foster a supportive environment for Veterans and their family.
Helen Bauer has been a nurse for over 30 years, specializing in hospice and end of life care since 2009. She’s a Certified Hospice and Palliative Registered Nurse with experience in patient care, nursing management, quality, and compliance. Her passion for advocacy at end of life can be heard on The Heart of Hospice podcast talking about hospice philosophy, how to get the most from your hospice experience, and advance care planning. As the founder of Hospice Navigation Services, Helen helps families, caregivers, and people with serious illness navigate their hospice journeys by providing support, education, and encouragement.
